Home MenuPolice Cadet Program
The Police Cadet Program provides orientation and experience for young people contemplating a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system. Its mission is to offer young adults, age 14 that have completed the eighth grade and other individuals not yet 21 years old, a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, assisting with special events, and other activities.
Young adults interested in becoming a member of the Rock County Sheriff's Office Police Cadet Post must be willing to attend monthly or bi-monthly meetings and trainings. These meetings and trainings will give cadets up close and hands-on experience with law enforcement professionals. Cadets will also be asked to volunteer at various events with the Rock County Sheriff's Office.
