The Rock County Housing Authority was created by the County Board on June 24, 2004, and is responsible for the disbursement of housing funds such as those available through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.

The County Board authorized the creation of the Housing Authority to help address the following issues:

  1. Unsafe housing
  2. The shortage of affordable, safe, and sanitary housing available to renters of low- to moderate income
  3. The shortage of affordable, safe, and sanitary housing available to first-time home buyers of low- to moderate income

The Housing Authority consists of five commissioners, up to two of whom may be County Board Supervisors. For more information about the Housing Authority itself, including meetings, agendas and minutes, please visit the Authority’s government page.
