Recorded Documents
Recording fee for Deeds, Mortgages, Satisfactions, Termination of Decedent’s Interest, etc.
- $30.00 (Flat fee regardless of the number of pages)
- Additional Transfer Fee may be due after completion of the Wisconsin Real Estate Transfer Return
Documents will be sent to the Return Address on the document after it has been recorded.
Maximum size sheet: 8 ½ “ x 14” Black and White.
Document must meet requirements governed by Wisconsin Statutes – See Standard Document Format for details.
Document Copies and Certified Copies
Copies of recorded documents are available in our office or by mail (paid in advance). They are also available online through Tapestry - additional fees apply.
- $2.00 first page
- $1.00 Additional pages
- $1.00 additional for a Certified Copy
Plats
- Subdivision, Cemetery and Condominium Plats are $50.00 regardless of the number of pages.
- Recording fee for Transportation Project Plats (TPP) is $25.00 per page.
- Plats are 22 X 30" in size except for Condominium Plats which are 14 X 22".
Filed Documents
Lis Pendens (can also be recorded), Writ of Attachments and filed documents for which no other fee is specified in Wisconsin Statutes:
- $30.00 (Flat Fee regardless of the number of pages)
- Copies of filed documents are $2.00 for first page and $1.00 each additional page, plus $1.00 for the certificate if a certificate is requested.
Uniform Commercial Code Information
On June 12, 2001, the Wisconsin Legislature passed Senate Bill 9, which is Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. The bill was signed on Friday, June 22, 2001 by Governor McCallum and became law effective July 1, 2001.
As of July 1, 2001, all states will have central filing offices. Ours will be the Department of Financial Institutions, Division of Corporate and Consumer Services.

Realty-related (or fixture) filings are to be filed at the local register of deeds office only.
The fees for realty-related filings are $30.00 (flat fee regardless of the number of pages). An original financing statement, amendment (which includes continuations, partial releases, or terminations) are considered separate instruments.
