Rock County, WI
Home MenuReportable Conditions
Reportable conditions are diseases that are required to be reported to local health departments for follow up. In Wisconsin, reportable conditions are split into three categories based on severity of the disease, how easily the disease spreads from person to person (infectiousness), and reporting urgency.

Our Work in Action
We work to prevent the spread of reportable conditions through case investigations. In a case investigation, we follow up with someone who tests positive for a reportable condition to help trace the person's exposure to the disease and identify others they may have exposed.
During the call, we also provide education, links to resources, and help answer any questions the person has about the disease. We work closely with local and state partners throughout case investigations to share information and updates on the spread of disease in Rock County.
