Wis. Stat. § 59.64(4)(e) permits the destruction of checks over two years old. Each year in November, the Rock County Board of Supervisors authorize checks over 2 years old be cancelled and credited back to the proper accounts.  Any payable named may contact the Rock County Clerk’s Office to request a new check be issued for the original amount, without interest, within 6 years from the original issue date, with proper identification.
